Appreciation All Round

As you can see from the sidebar, Philip Davies has been invested as this blog's official mascot, as promised. His commons performance last week is now preserved for prosperity and can be viewed by clicking on his amiable fizzog.

Davies has been informed of this prestigious appointment and, judging by his reply, I have a sneaking suspicion that it is much appreciated.

Dear Richard

Thank you very much indeed for your extremely kind email which is much appreciated and for your supportive comments which are much appreciated.

Best wishes

Philip
I think I can say, with confidence, that more MPs like Davies would be much appreciated by readers of this blog, and that if he could find time to kick Kevin Barron in the shins - very hard - at some point in the near future, that would be much appreciated too.

UPDATE: Davies, on being informed of his investiture, was understandably overwhelmed.

Thanks Richard
... he gushed.

I missed the original post DP, but I have to say - if parliament was filled with people of character such as Philip Davies MP, our lives would be alot happier and drenched in the liberties we can only dream of.

He definitely deserves the honour of mascot!

A big cheers to you sir.

600 Clones of Philip Davies in Parliament and that would be the end of the Smoking Ban

l wrote to him too. l thought it only right that he should know how appreciative people are of MPs who tell it how it is.

Pity it wasn't his bloody leader!

Isn't his dad the 'controversial' (ie believes in low taxes and less state interference) mayor of Doncaster?

...if anyone is wandering in the direction of Shipley and has spare time, I'm sure Philip would appreciate some getting re-elected help - his majority is only 400!
